Gilcrease Orchard Pumpkin Patch - Open Now

If you don’t have your pumpkin yet, you’ll want to head to the northwest side of Las Vegas for the Gilcrease Orchard. You can choose your pumpkin right off the vine at this popular, and quite scenic, pumpkin patch. The orchard is open on select mornings and afternoons and you pay by the pound in the pumpkin patch, but mini pumpkins are also available for a set price.

Spooky Storytime - October 2, 9, 16

Be sure to catch Spooky Storytime at the Las Vegas Natural History Museum this month. The event takes place during select Saturdays in October. While you’re there, you can always check out some of the museum’s exhibits, like the dinosaurs, plants and animals, and marine life.

HallOVeen at the Magical Forest is a fun event for those of all ages in Las Vegas. The event takes place on select evenings during the month of October. The Zombie Run - October 15

If you feel like getting in some exercise as a family, you can always join in on The Zombie Run. This Henderson event takes place mid-month at Cornerstone Park. Feel free to wear a costume as you complete either the 5K run or the shorter, 1 mile walk

Growloween - October 16

The next day bring your four-legged family member to Growloween at Bruce Trent Park in Las Vegas. The event is free, but donations go to help animal rescue organizations. Dinoween: Mad Scientist Fun for Everyone - October 28

Head back to the Natural History Museum at the end of the month for Dinoween. The day is fully of spooky science fun and lots and lots of dinos! Make sure your child wears a costume, for it’s expected to be a great time for all.

That evening make plans to take on the spooky maze at Haunt the Wetlands. This late afternoon/early evening event takes place at Clark County Wetlands Park. Advance tickets are just $5, but its free for kids ages three and younger. 

Community Safenight Halloween Carnival - October 31

Make it a fun night for the entire family when you spend Halloween at the Community Safenight Halloween Carnival. The carnival takes place on Halloween, and includes a jump house, games, a climbing wall, face painting and a petting zoo. You’ll find all the fun at Dolittle Community Center.
